For the week of June 2 – June 8, I will be doing some light reading this week. The pleasant weather outside has caused me to linger working in my garden and include daily walks around the neighborhood. Also, school is now out for the summer and I am catching up on some much needed home decluttering and cleaning.
Birds of a Feather by Jacqueline Winspear. I am not sure why, but it is taking me a long time to sit down with this book and get into it. Unhappily, I am still in the first chapter! I am sure that once I get through a few more pages, I will become more involved. My goal is to finish this book by the end of the week.
I am, however, making much more progress with Essentialism by Greg McKeown. Perhaps with the current social climate and seeming paralysis, I needed a call to action that would give me a sense of personal accomplishment. This book is causing me to pause and research other authors and titles, and that may be why I am not left with much time for my fiction read this week. I am currently 2/3 of the way through Essentialism and will definitely finish this week.
